We’ve been busy- events this year…

employernetworkingIt’s been another very busy year here at Careers Events. We’ve seen over 2000 students at over 270 events on campus and have scored an average 4.25 out of 5 for student satisfaction. We ambitiously extended our Law fair to two days and introduced a new programme of events exclusively for international students. This year we particularly wanted our events to reflect the strategic aims of the university and the Careers & Enterprise Centre, as such our events have bought a record 230 employers onto campus to meet students and talk about graduate careers. Here’s a quick review of what we did:

In October 2015 we ran five Careers Fairs in the Octagon, including the Law Fair which we extended to run over two days to meet increasing demand from both law firms and students. This trial was a great success and meant that over 600 undergraduate law students could meet with over 60 firms in a less hectic environment than previous years. Both the Technology and Business & Finance Fair saw over 400 student visitors in two hours and we received some excellent feedback from both students and exhibitors for these events. In addition we also ran two mini Career Options fairs which saw over 30 employers from a wide range of industries visit campus to speak to over 400 students at QMUL. Here’s what was said about us:

IBMThe Careers Fairs I have attended at QMUL are extremely well attended with bright, ambitious, intelligent and enthusiastic students – just the kind of people we are looking to hire!”

AccentureWe consistently attend the careers fairs at QMUL as the students are always engaged and genuinely interested in talking to Accenture

From PwC, Expedia and Clifford Chance all the way to the Foreign Office, we have invited a wide range of employers to speak to you about your future ambitions. This year we have brought a record breaking 230 employers to QMUL, delivering presentation, skills sessions and exhibiting at the fairs. We have also been delighted with the success of careers programmes such as the Focus on Finance and both the undergraduate and postgraduate law events programme. Combined our in school events programmes saw a total of over 40 employers on campus.

And we’re not done yet…

As the Career Options Mini Fair is back again for Summer 2016!

This summer the Career Options Mini Fair is back and bigger than ever. This is your chance to meet graduate employers in person and discover internships and graduate opportunities that are open to you right now, this summer and when you graduate. This event is an excellent opportunity for all students to meet a range of different employers to ask about work experience and graduate opportunities, especially if you’ve not yet decided what you want to do after graduation. Stay posted! Confirmed exhibitors will be announced soon. Registration and details:
