Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of entrepreneurs, innovators and job creators who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, while also driving economic growth. Activities and events range from large-scale competitions to intimate networking opportunities, connecting aspiring entrepreneurs to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors.
QMUL Careers & Enterprise are participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week to put on a variety of enterprise events in November, embracing the 2015 theme of ‘Get Connected’.
The week will kick off on 14th November with a three day bootcamp run by 3DS, where you will work in teams over the course of 72 hours to take an idea from concept to pitch, learning about ideation, team formation, market testing, prototyping and presenting along the way. Mentors will be on hand to offer guidance.
Next up on 18th November is a speed mentoring event held in Drapers Bar, where you can get advice from a variety of mentors on different issues relating to their business. Register: http://gewspeedmentoring.eventbrite.co.uk
Seedrs take over on 19th November to run a crowdfunding workshop, where you will learn just what crowdfunding really means, and get tips on how to create a great campaign. Register: https://seedrs.eventbrite.co.uk
And finally we close the week on 20th November with a Start Up, Stand Up social event in the QUBE, where Kate Hoffman from Grow Up will speak about ’10 things I wish I’d known before I started my business’. Register: http://gewstartupstandup.eventbrite.co.uk
